Girl walks into the office kitchen. She is hungry and distracted, and she has three dollars in her pocket.

Girl inadvertently feeds a dollar into the soda machine. She remembers that chips don't come out of the soda machine, and she presses the coin return button. The machine returns 75 cents.

Girl feeds second dollar to the snack machine and selects B4, Sun Chips for 90 cents. (Outrageous, she thinks.) Alas, the bag of chips gets stuck and does not fall to the bottom of the machine. Girl despairs.

Girl feeds third her third dollar to the snack machine, hoping that selecting B4 again will yield two bags of chips. Girl's theory proves to be unsound.

Girl collects single bag of chips and change. Points awarded: Vending machines, 2; Girl, 0.
